Tenerife splits into two distinct halves, and the choice shapes your trip. The south — Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos — is the sun-sure resort coast, with big four- and five-star hotels, beaches, a marina and the island's busiest padel clubs a few minutes inland. The lusher north around Puerto de la Cruz is cooler and greener, backed by Mount Teide, with a historic town feel and its own local courts. Most of our bases sit in the south; we place a northern option for players who prefer that quieter side.

Clubs and courts

The southern resort belt has the busiest padel scene, with well-kept outdoor clubs — Aqua Padel and Top Padel Adeje among them — a short drive from the Costa Adeje and Las Américas hotels. In the north, Puerto de la Cruz plays at its own local courts at Parque Toscal. Surfaces are the usual artificial grass, coaching in English is easy to arrange, and the year-round climate means play rarely stops. As with every destination, we lock in court time at partner clubs before you travel so your group's games are guaranteed.

Tenerife is the pick for winter sun — groups, couples and mixed-ability players who want dependable warmth when the mainland has cooled off, with beaches, Siam Park, whale-watching and Mount Teide filling the hours off court. The south suits resort-style holidays and larger groups; the north suits players who want a quieter, more scenic base. It's a longer flight than the Spanish mainland, so it rewards a fuller five-night-plus stay rather than a quick weekend.

Best time to play

Tenerife's real draw is that it works all year. Subtropical warmth keeps daytime temperatures in the low-to-mid twenties even in winter, which is when the island comes into its own as a padel escape from the northern cold. Summer is hot but tempered by Atlantic breezes; the south stays reliably sunnier than the north whatever the season.

Getting there

Tenerife South (TFS) is the airport for the southern resorts, roughly 20–30 minutes from Costa Adeje, with frequent UK flights of around four to four-and-a-half hours. Tenerife North (TFN) sits closer to Puerto de la Cruz. We arrange your transfer either way so your group arrives straight to base.

A sample Tenerife padel trip

1. Day 1 — Fly into Tenerife South and transfer to your base on the Costa Adeje coast.
2. Day 2 — Morning games at Aqua Padel, then an afternoon on the beach or the promenade.
3. Day 3 — Friendly doubles, followed by whale- and dolphin-watching off the south coast.
4. Day 4 — A coaching session, then a day-trip up to Mount Teide's national park.
5. Day 5 — A relaxed session at Siam Park or the marina before your final evening.
6. Day 6 — Final games and the short transfer back to Tenerife South.

Nearby areas

From a southern base, Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos run together along the coast, with Siam Park, the Puerto Colón marina and boat trips all close. Mount Teide and its national park make the island's standout day-trip, and the greener north — Puerto de la Cruz, Loro Parque and the old-town charm around La Orotava — is reachable on a longer excursion. The island is compact enough that exploring rarely costs you much court time.
