Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them to make the site work and, with your consent, to understand how it is used and to support marketing. Non-essential cookies are off by default. We only set them once you agree.

The categories we use

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie choices. These are always on and do not require consent.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Off until you consent. We use Google Analytics 4 for this, including its Google Signals feature (see below). With your consent we also keep our own note of how your visit started, so we can see which channels bring enquiries. We also use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to see where visitors click, scroll and leave, including session recordings with anything you type masked.   • Marketing: used to measure and support advertising. Off until you consent. We use the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API for this. See Meta pixel and Conversions API below.

Cookies we set

Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them. The list below covers everything we use or have switched on.

  • ept-cookie-consent (strictly necessary): stores your cookie preferences on this device so we don't ask again. Set by Euro Padel Travel. Technically this is stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, and it stays until you clear your browser data for this site.
  • _ga (analytics): distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count unique visits. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_G-9PD9CYVTMV (analytics): keeps track of the current visit (session state) for our Google Analytics property. Set by Google Analytics. Expires after 2 years.
  • ph_…_posthog (analytics): remembers your visit so PostHog can follow it from page to page, and keeps the session recording together. Set by PostHog in a cookie and in local storage, only after you accept analytics cookies. Expires after 1 year.
  • ept:visit-source (analytics): notes how this visit started (the campaign tags on the link you followed, an ad click reference, the name of the website that sent you and the page you landed on) so it can be saved with an enquiry or sign-up if you send one. Set by Euro Padel Travel in your browser's session storage, only after you accept analytics or marketing cookies, and deleted when you close the tab or withdraw consent.
  • ept:first-touch (analytics): the same details for your first visit, so a later enquiry still shows how you first found us. Set by Euro Padel Travel in local storage, only after you accept analytics or marketing cookies, and removed if you withdraw consent. Otherwise it stays until you clear your browser data for this site.
  • _fbp (marketing): identifies your browser to Meta so it can link visits and enquiries to our Facebook and Instagram posts and ads. Set by the Meta pixel, only after you accept marketing cookies. Expires after 90 days.
  • _fbc (marketing): stores the Meta ad click reference when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad. Set by the Meta pixel, only after you accept marketing cookies. Expires after 90 days.

Meta pixel and Conversions API

With your consent to marketing cookies, the Meta pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you view here and when you tap to message us on WhatsApp, and our server tells Meta, through its Conversions API, when you send an enquiry or claim the £50 code, and later if you receive a quote or pay a deposit. The server message carries your email address, phone number and name in hashed (scrambled) form, the Meta cookies above, your IP address and your browser type. An enquiry also carries your group size, destination and kind of trip, never your message or dates. Decline marketing cookies and neither the pixel nor the server message runs. Google Analytics and Google Signals

With your consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, how people arrive, and where they drop off. We have IP anonymisation switched on, and we do not send Google your name, email address or phone number.

We also have Google Signals enabled. This means that if you are signed in to a Google account and have turned on Ads Personalisation in your own Google settings, Google may associate your visit with that account. Google then gives us aggregated, anonymised reporting on the age, gender and interests of our visitors, and can recognise the same person across the different devices they use. To do this, Google uses its own advertising cookies and identifiers, set on Google's domains rather than ours.

Google Signals only operates after you have accepted analytics cookies. Decline them and none of it runs. We never see individual profiles, only aggregated reports, and Google withholds figures for small groups so individuals cannot be identified. You can also turn this off for every site at once through Google's own My Ad Center controls, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Managing your choices

You can change your mind at any time. Use the button below to reopen the cookie preferences panel, or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not stop the site working.
