Beginner padel holidays — FAQs
Do I need to have played padel before?
Not at all. Padel is one of the easiest racket sports to pick up — the enclosed court keeps rallies going and the underarm serve is simple to learn. Most first-timers are playing points within their first session.
Can I add coaching as a beginner?
Yes, and we recommend it. An hour or two with a coach early in the trip fast-tracks the basics — positioning, the serve and how to use the walls — so the rest of your games are far more fun. Tell us and we will build coaching into your package.
Will I be out of my depth on a padel holiday?
No. Padel rewards teamwork and placement over power, so newer players hold their own quickly. Games can be arranged among players of a similar level, and mixed groups work well because a good partner covers for a learning one.
What kit do I need to bring?
Just comfortable sportswear and court shoes. Rackets and balls are provided at the clubs we work with, so there is nothing to buy before your first trip — a big part of why padel is such an easy sport to start on holiday.
